| Company Portrait ICA was founded in Dortmund by the company owner, Dipl.-Ing. Heinz Sander in 1986. During
the first two years ICA was involved in software and hardware solutions
for the mechanical engineering sector. In 1988 ICA was one of the first
German companies to recognise the potential of chip-card technology
and since then it has systematically refined it, in particular in the
field of multi-storey car park operating systems. With over 1000 all-inclusive
solutions installed, ICA has become the standard in the multi-storey
car park sector. In the years that followed ICA acquired broad-based know-how in the fields of chip-card handling, dispenser technology, software and electronics. With this experience, other products, e.g. for the leisure sector, banking and vending machines, have also been developed since 1993. ICA has a market share of 15% of all new installations in the multi-storey car park sector. The suppliers which ICA selects guarantee maximum flexibility and quality. Final assembly of the components and the system test are conducted at ICA. Since the presentation of the first transponder system in 1996 over 90% of all new systems has been installed with contact less chip-card technology. In 1999 ICA implemented the pilot projects for the electronic ticket in the urban public transport system. ICA developed and supplied the vending machines both in Berlin and in Cologne/Bonn. One year later the ICA Traffic GmbH was founded. Over 2.500 ticket machines have already been supplied for the urban public transport system since August 2001. Since 2003 ICA offers an alternative Parking system with barcode-technology. Two years later in 2005 ICA is supplier of the Deutsche Bahn (DB) and presented a new ticket machine generation. In the course of a more and more global market ICA operate since years i.e. in UK, USA, Canada, Poland and UAE.
Thanks to its more than 25 years of experience, ICA is the leading manufacturer of chip-card based Parking System MultiTicket in Europe and is taking a high position in public transport market. |
